Designer: Svend Skipper
Manufacturer: Skippers Mobler
Material: Leather upholstery with Beech wood frame
Maximum Dimensions: Width 76cm, Depth 83cm, Height 76cm, Seat Height 41cm and Seat Depth 54cm
Condition: Good but with signs of age, in the form of cracking / crazing to the fronts of the arms for use, as well as what appears to be marks left from old tape on the back of the right hand arm (see images). The foam inside the arms has also gone dry with time, meaning the arms are ‘crunchy’ to the touch, but this does not affect them in any way. Please note that all cushions have been newly re-foamed, so the seat base is currently quite firm due to the new filling.
Description: A stylish Danish 1960s lounge chair, designed by Svend Skipper and manufactured by Skippers Møbler. The chair is upholstered in genuine Tan Brown coloured Leather, with subtle button and stitch detailing to all cushions, this being a trademark of the Skippers design and quality. The piece features two removable cushions, with the profile of the chair being quintessentially 1960s, with its low slung and linear design, something which the Skippers brand captures perfectly. The chair is then raised upon four turned and tapered Beech wood legs below. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.
