Description: An elegant Danish 1960s ‘Model 61’ Lounge chair, designed by Kurt Østervig and manufactured by Henry Rolschau Møbler. Please note we two of these matching lounge chairs available, with the price shown being for one. We also have a matching 3 seater Sofa which can be found in a separate listing. The chair is upholstered in pale Yellow Velour fabric, with the base cushion being internally sprung with traditional coil springs. The design is quintessentially sixties, with its low slung profile and linear edges, something typified by Kurt Ostervig’s designs. The whole piece is raised on a strong and sturdy Beech wood frame, with four turned and tapering Beech legs below. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.
