Description: A very elegant Danish Art Deco lounge chair from the 1940s. The chair is upholstered in a good quality Oatmeal coloured Wool fabric, with subtle braiding to emphasize the deeply ribbed backrest detail. This, alongside the large curved arms and winged profile of the chair, are quintessentially Deco in design. Like the majority of all Scandinavian art deco pieces, the chair is raised upon a heavy and solid Beech wood frame, and is traditionally coil sprung internally, with all springs completely intact with no sagging. The piece is then raised upon two turned Beech bun feet to the front, and simple block legs to the rear. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid-Century furniture.
