Description: An elegant Danish Art Deco 2.5 seat ‘Banana’ sofa. The sofa is upholstered in a Green coloured Velour fabric, with subtle contrasting piping around the edges of the piece, and deep ribbed detailing to the backrest. The sofa is generously sized for a 2 seat sofa, but a little cosy to comfortably be a 3 seat sofa, hence the ‘2.5’. The frame features a beautiful inward curve giving the piece its ‘Banana’ shape. Like the majority of all Danish Art Deco pieces, the sofa is raised upon a heavy Beech wood frame with a coil sprung base, with all springs intact and working perfectly. The Sofa also sits upon four curved and moulded Beech feet to the front and rear. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.
