Condition: Very Good with small signs of age, mainly in the form of colour variation to the Leather, as originally the Leather would of been darker but has faded to become more of a ‘fleshy’ Tan colour. There is also some slight surface rubbing to the fronts of the seat cushions (see images)
Description: An elegant Danish 1970s three seat sofa, designed and manufactured by Stouby, in the iconic Borge Mogensen style. Please note we have an identical matching 3 seat sofa to accompany this one, which can be found in a separate listing. The sofa is upholstered in genuine thick light Tan coloured Buffalo Leather, with complimentary piping detail around the edges of all cushions, the Leather being a trademark of the Stouby manufacturing quality. The piece features six removable cushions, all of which are fibre filled giving them a plump and squashy feel. The profile of the sofa, particularly the sloping arms, are reminiscent of the original Mogensen design. The sofa is then raised on four plain and naturally finished Beech block feet to each corner. The Stouby manufacturers stitching can also be found to the underside of all cushions. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century Furniture.
