Description: A very elegant Danish 1960s Model 214 lounge chair, designed by Kurt Olsen and manufactured by Slagelse Møbelværk. The chair has recently been reupholstered in a good quality, striking Lime Green coloured Wool, with subtle piping detail around the edges and button detailing to the backrest. This colour combination giving a nice contrast with the stained Beech wood frame. The piece features a striking open frame, with chunky armrests to either side. The seat cushion is sprung internally for added comfort, with the overall frame being strong and sturdy with no movement. Olsen is known for his unique designs of the period, this being no exception compared to the more generic and mass produced styles of the era. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century Furniture.
