Description: An elegant Danish Art Deco 1940s 3 seat ‘Banana’ sofa. The sofa is upholstered in Beige coloured velour, with subtle contrasting braiding around the seat edges, seat and back rest. The profile of the sofa features a subtle curve, thus giving it the Banana name. Like the majority of Danish Art Deco seating from this era, the sofa is sprung underneath, and is raised upon a Beech wood frame. The sofa is also raised on four plain block Beech feet to each corner. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.
