Description: A very elegant Danish Art Deco ‘Banana’ sofa. The sofa is upholstered in a vibrant Green Velour fabric, with subtle contrasting piping around the edges of the piece, and ribbed detailing to the backrest. The piece is generously sized for a two seat sofa, and could fit 3 people at a squeeze. The frame features a beautiful inward curve giving the piece its ‘Banana’ shape. Like the majority of all Danish Art Deco pieces, the sofa is raised upon a heavy Beech wood frame with a coil sprung base. The Sofa also sits on two turned Beech feet to the front and two block feet to the rear. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.
