Description: A very elegant Danish Art Deco club chair manufactured in the 1940s, in the manner of the Fritz Hansen model ‘1518’ chair. The chair is upholstered in a blush Pink Velour fabric, with subtle piping detail around edges of the chair and backrest. The piece features ribbed detailing to the concaved back rest, with sweeping arms and edges, both of which are typical of the Art Deco design. Like the majority of Danish pieces of this era, the chairs base is heavily coil sprung, and is raised upon a heavy Beech wood frame with ring turned Beech feet to the front and block feat to the rear. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.
